      • What is the best method of removing the coating in order to use the bowl for egg whites and other types of mixing?
      • The lacquer is only on the outside of the bowls. You don’t have to do anything but wash and dry the bowl.

      • It is clearly stated in the discription that if I want to use this bowl for eggs or salads the protective lequer layer should be removed. I doubt the manufacture puts lequer only on outside and inside is left to tarnish on the display. So the question remains, what is the best way to remove this protective layer?

      • The Old Dutch Copper Beating Bowl item 767 has the protective coating applied at the factory to prevent tarnishing while in dealer's stock. This protective coating is not applied to the inside of the bowl. To remove the protective coating just wash the bowl in soap and water and hand dry.
