Similarities between the E6 & E8:

Both the E8 & E6 have a 64oz water tank, 10oz bean capacity, and come equipped with the Professional Aroma Grinder which optimizes aroma extraction and achieves an aroma increase of 12.2% compared to conventional grinders. This grinder is also the quietest of all Jura grinders. They each have the same 2.8” Color Display with buttons, and both utilize Jura’s 3D Brewing Technology that brews water evenly through the ground coffee at multiple levels in order to extract the maximum aroma. The E8 and E6 both offer the ability to brew preground coffee (the E6 has been redesigned to include this, however, previous models manufactured before 2022 do not offer this).

 

Differences between the E6 & E8: 

There are a few key differences between the E8 & E6 machines. The first is the number of specialty espresso drinks each can make. The E8 offers more specialty beverages at 17 options, while the E6 offers 11. While both can brew an espresso, coffee, caffe barista, americano, macchiato, and cappuccino, the E8 can also brew a cortado, flat white, and latte macchiato. The E8 has a one-touch Americano function, while the E6 has an Easy Cappuccino function. The more options on the E8 make it more expensive than the E6.

 

Another key difference between the E8 & E6 is the design of their milk and water spouts. The E8 has a built-in water spout (located between the dual coffee spouts) and a separate built-in milk spout (located to the right of the machine). This makes moving between milk beverages and hot water beverages much easier with no cross-contamination. In comparison, the E6 has one shared milk/water spout (located between the dual coffee spouts) with two interchangeable spout heads - one for milk & one for water. This means you’ll have to change the spout heads when brewing between hot water and milk.
