How to Clean a Blendtec Blender Jar
The Blendtec jar is incredibly easy to clean. Although it is dishwasher safe, the harsh chemicals in dishwasher detergents can dull plastic. Follow these simple steps to clean your jar in under a minute!
Fill jar with 1 cup of hot tap water. Add 1-2 drops of dish soap and place the lid on the blender jar.
Place jar on the Blendtec blender base and press the Clean preset button. If this button is unavailable on your model, press the pulse button for five seconds to clean.
Empty, and rinse jar and lid in the sink. Towel- or air-dry the jar and lid before storing. That's it!
Chef Austin's Cleaning Tips:
- Do not submerge jar under water for more than five minutes. Water can penetrate the gasket seal around the blade, reducing the efficiency of the blender blade.
- Never add boiling water to the blender jar; the maximum temperature of ingredients or water in the jar should not exceed 115°F.
- Do not use a scouring pad or other abrasive material or cleanser to clean jar. Use a wash cloth or sponge.
