Made from a sterasyl ceramic outer shell with a carbon block core with ATS resin, it is silver-impregnated to inhibit the growth of bacteria and gives the filter self-sterilizing properties. The replacement filter will not remove beneficial minerals from the water, ensuring the filtered water is enjoyable to drink while removing harmful impurities, suspended solids, cloudiness, parasites, pathogenic bacteria, chlorine, bad tastes, and lead. As far as replacing, Doulton suggests getting a new filter every six months.
