Before you say “evoo isn’t for cooking,” read this: thanks to the super stable picual olive, Sizzle was born for the heat. It’s still 100% extra-virgin, but made with mid-harvest olives that give it a more mellow flavor. Sizzle is a peak harvest extra virgin olive oil. What exactly does that mean? The harvest season in Spain goes from October to January. Sizzle is harvested between the end of November until the beginning of Jan, when the olives are at their most ripe. They've grown bigger, jucier, and have turned dark green or purple. When pressed, these plump olives yield much more oil than during the early harvest. That oil much more mellow, but still packed with flavor. We recommend using Sizzle with anything you're cooking or heating up!
About Graza
Every kitchen deserves good, fresh olive oil that’s affordable enough to be used every day. Our single-origin oils do just that, and they come in a squeezy bottle that makes everything easier and more fun. With olive oil, fresh is always best. That’s why we pick, press, and bottle all of our olive oil in the very same season — so you’re getting that “just-picked” flavor in every bottle. You’ll never find oil made from old olives, or oil made from anything other than — you guessed it — olives. There’s lots to consider when picking an olive varietal — but rest assured, we only use the best of the best. Choose between Drizzle Finishing Oil, Sizzle Cooking Oil, or Frizzle High-Heat Cooking Oil to best suit your kitchen's needs!
Graza "Sizzle" Extra Virgin Olive Cooking Oil Features:
100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Grown and processed from Picual olives
Sizzle uses olives picked during peak harvest season when they are more mature and a bit juicier
When pressed, these more mature, juicier olives yield a lot more oil; Sizzle calls for about 13 lbs of Picual olives harvested in December/January to produce a liter of cooking oil
Because of its mellow flavor and higher smoke point, Sizzle can be used in many ways
Great for everyday cooking like roasting, searing, poaching, pan frying, baking, and marinating
