This weight set consists of two semi-circular stones designed to fit Ohio Stoneware's 1 Gallon Preserving Crock. The weights are unglazed and used for food preservation. The stones rest on top of food inside of the crock to keep food in the brine for proper fermentation. When purchasing our crocks, covers, and weights, please keep in mind that we carry six sizes of Ohio Stoneware preserving crocks, weights, and covers. Lid size and weight size should match the crock size, (I.e., 1 gallon lid pairs with the 1 gallon crock, and the 1 gallon weight set pairs with the 1 gallon crock). Available in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 gallon sizes. The 1 Gallon Crock and 1 Gallon Crock Cover are sold separately! You can also purchase the complete 1 Gallon Crock Starter Kit, which includes the crock, cover, and weights to keep food submerged for safe, efficient pickling and fermenting.
