Can KitchenAid accessories (flat beater, flex edge beater, dough hook, wire whip) go in the dishwasher?
KitchenAid's flat beaters, dough hooks, wire whips, and other accessories come in a variety of materials, so you'll first want to identify the material your accessory is made to know if it is dishwasher-safe. All coated and fully stainless steel mixer tools are dishwasher-safe (top rack only). All burnished accessories are not dishwasher-safe and need to be hand washed to prevent oxidation. Always follow the cleaning instructions that came with your manual.

Can KitchenAid stand mixers knead dough?
Yes! KitchenAid stand mixers come with a dough hook for kneading dough. For serious dough kneading, we recommend the Professional 600, Professional 6500, 7 Quart Proline, or 8 Quart Commercial Stand Mixer as they are best suited for making large amounts of bread dough.
