Het toestel in inox-uitvoering is mooi en degelijk afgewerkt.
De druktoetsen zijn handig om te reinigen en ze laten zich zeer makkelijk bedienen.
Vermits iedereen zijn voorkeur heeft ( sterk of slap, met of zonder schuimkraag, met of zonder melk en in welke verhouding ? ) is het zeer handig dat iedereen beschikt over zijn individueel menu.
De melkfunctie werkt zeer goed maar moet na gebruik wel goed gespoeld worden + wekelijks onderhoud. Dus wanneer U dit maar af en toe gebruikt dan zou ik een expresso-toestel nemen zonder melkfuncties en een afzonderlijke kannetje nemen voor het opschuimen van de melk.
Ondanks dat we kunnen kiezen over de temperatuur van de koffie, vind ik de maximum temperatuur net iets te koud. Enkel wanneer we gebruik maken van flink voorverwarmde tassen is deze ok.
Het toestel vraagt toch meer onderhoud dan U verwacht:
vullen van water-reservoir + ledigen spoelbakje en koffiekoekjes.
ontkalken, spoelen en reinigen zet-eenheid, vervangen filter, ...
Het toestel kan zowat alles maken wat U wil maar vergeet echter niet dat het belangrijkste nog steeds de keuze is van de koffiebonen. |

A qualidade da bebida é consistente e no geral, a máquina funciona bem. É moleza tirar um expresso de qualidade apenas com o toque no painel digital. A qualidade empregada na construção da Xelsis é muito boa. Limpar esta máquina de café é tão fácil quanto seu uso.
O manual de instruções é fácil de seguir, por isso recomendo a sua leitura integral. É muito bom ter o café aguardando para sair do meu jeito, no sabor e temperatura que eu gosto - são seis usuários programáveis, um perfil de bebida para cada pessoa - você vai adorar isso nas manhãs que todos acordam com pressa para sair de casa.
A Xelsis executa pequenos ciclos de lavagem na inicialização e quando entra em espera, esgotando a água do tanque com mais freqüência; também é preciso esvaziar o coletor de borras/água a cada QUATRO bebidas - por conta disso, decidimos manter um recipiente sempre por perto, principalmente quando recebemos visitas. Não espere um leite muito quente então se você for como eu, que se incomoda com o "latte macchiato" que ficou sem-graça naquele dia mais frio, conte com o micro-ondas para um reforcinho térmico.
O desenho espetacular da Xelsis e a simplicidade de uso fazem dessa máquina de café a principal atração da nossa cozinha. Recomendo.

Overall, a good machine - but for the (significant) price paid it ought to have been better in my opinion.
The milk temperature for latte's is way too low - I have to put my drink in the microwave for 20 seconds after brewing it.
The Milk carafe takes a HUGE amount of force to put in place / remove. This does not bode well for longevity. I keep expecting it to break each time I have to apply so much force.
The internal drip tray is far to small / fills up far too quickly so that you have to interrupt your drink-making part way through in order to empty the tray and fininsh your (by now cooler than ever) drink.
When the machine goes into standby mode, it comes back out as the default user instead of as the user that used the machine 10 minutes ago - so this leads to an unnecessary amount of button pressing to reselect the user. |

I purchased a refurbished one last year. Worked flawless for a year, then broke. It is in warranty repair now. I wanted to purchase another, so I found this brand new one for real bargain, couldn't resist since I would not have a machine when my refurb is in shop! The new one has a few quirks. sometimes, the milk frother spits and sputters instead of a flow of milk. Does this about 1 in 50 beverages. Another one (this happened on my refub one too) is that a strange taste and odor from the espresso pull, kind of like machine oil. Happens maybe 1 in 30 drinks. I am still trying to run this down to figure out the issue.
Other than the above, the machine is really awesome. Fully automated cappuccinos with the best foam!!! I have read about issues with beverages not being hot, but if you adjust the settings for the drink, you will see that there is a temp setting that makes it just perfect!
I would recommend this product. |

Inzwischen war das Gerät schon 3 x zur Reparatur! Leider mit mäßigem Erfolg. So viel zur Zuverlässigkeit, wobei das Gerät jetzt erst 2 Jahre geworden ist. Da sind wir anderes gewohnt!!!
Erst öffnete sich die Tür beim Kaffee brühen. Dafür mußte das Gerät ganze 2 x eingeschickt werden, bis es einigermaßen behoben war!!!
Dann schäumte es keine Milch mehr auf, glücklicherweise noch kurz bevor die Garantie abgelaufen war, also wieder eingeschickt. Super gleich beim erst mal hat die Reparatur geklappt. Dauerte dieses Mal auch nicht 4 Wochen wie die anderen Male!
So nun zu den tollen Funktionen:
Gekauft hatten wir die Maschine, weil der Milchbehälter einfach zu reinigen ist und nicht immer gleich auseinandergebaut werden muß sondern nur 1 x die Woche! Das funktioniert auch wirklich toll.
Leider ist das wirklich der einzige Pluspunkt an dem Gerät.
Ja man kann 5 verschiedene Benutzer anlegen, ist auch toll, mit dem Fingerabdruckscanner funktioniert die Benutzerwahl auch gut, ABER es können maximal 3 Produkte mit Milch gezogen werden, dann muß man den Wasserauffangbehälter ausleeren. Gleiches gilt für den Kaffeesatzbehälter der geringfügig mehr Fassungsvermögen hat.
Sprich bei 5 Verschiedenen Nutzern muß mindestens einer schon mal den Automaten säubern um an seinen Kaffee zu kommen.
Super wenn mal Gäste da sind und nicht alle nur einen Espresso möchten :O(
Aber der wirkliche Horror beginnt wenn das Symbol für die Entkalkung aufleuchtet!!!
Alarm, dann muß man sich eine geschlagene Stunde Zeit nehmen und zig Liter Wasser in den Tank füllen bis der Automat das Programm endlich abgeschlossen hat :O(
Hier wird man zum Wasserträger schlechthin. Außerdem muß die Milchkaraffe auch eingesetzt werden, d.h. Inhalt umfüllen und parken!
Das kenne ich auch einfacher, wesentlich schneller und unkomplizierter!!!
SCHADE!
Nun fürchte ich geht unser Gerät langsam aber sicher über den "Jordan", denn trotz regelmäßiger, intensiver Wartung, ist der Kaffeesatz eine Matsche! Trotz Mahlgradverstellung wie im Handbuch angegeben und Fetten der Brühgruppe :O(
Traurig aber wahr, der größte Fehlkauf den wir je getätigt haben!!! |

Had to have it serviced because there was constant leak underneath.
Service was good and also relatively easy to schedule.

Hij maakt echt lekkere koffie, maar hij is erg gevoelig voor vocht bij het opvang reservoir. Wanneer daar ook maar een druppel water zit brandt het alarm al en moet je dus alles controleren: water-, koffiebonen- en opvangreservoir.
Als er niet meer genoeg water in zit voor een kop zoals ingesteld, dan zet ie een kop koffie met de hoeveelheid water wat beschikbaar is wat dus een sterke kop koffie wordt.
Alle nadelen maakt dit apparaat toch de moeite waard omdat de koffie die eruit komt toch heerlijk smaakt (wel afhankelijk van merk/type bonen). |

Produto excelente e com alguma paciência, lendo o manual você consegue manter sua máquina. Quanto ao processo de descalcificação, o produto "descalcificador" não é obrigatório. Faço o programa de descalcificação somente com água pura, sem adicionar nada. Faço o processo duas vezes seguidas e mantenho a minha máquina limpa, por dentro e por fora. Também concordo com o colega acima quanto ao fato de a máquina vir com uma amostra do tal "descalcificador", embora acredite que o mesmo seja desnecessário. |

It did work great, but after a few months the screen went blank. i sent it in for repairs and after waiting several weeks for the defective part to arrive, we were pleased to find out that it was fixed. However, when we used it for the first time, the screen did not illuminate properly. We sent it back to the repair facility and after another month of not having the machine, we were told that we would be issued a replacement since they were unable to repair my unit. It does make a fantastic cup of coffee and I do miss it. |

Sinds ongeveer een jaar in bezit. Ondanks ontkalken met de officiële producten iedere keer slechte doorstroming van het apparaat. Er staat net zo veel water in het overloopbakje als in het kopje en vaak nog meer in het bakje dan in het kopje. Oplossing??? Ik weet het niet meer. Waarschijnlijk weer gewoon terug naar het oude koffiezet apparaat.
De koffie smaakt uitstekend maar de irritatie wint het ruim van de smaak!!!! |

Nadat we de senseo een beetje zat waren, zijn we overgegaan op de Seaco Odea. Helaas gaf het er na 2 weken de brui aan. Veel gedoe met opsturen en apparaat 3 weken kwijt.
Na retour gekomen werkte het apparaat weer perfect en doet het tot nu toe uitstekend.
Het schoonmaken vind ik lastig, vooral het inwendige gedeelte.
Er komt veel lekwater uit. Na 9 kopjes is het lekbakje vol.
Maar wel heerlijke koffie! |

Hello all!
I don't know why, but the 2 saeco products I've had so far, both have failed the same: main board malfunction. So it's time to move on to another (more trustable) brand.
It is not nice for a customer to pay the s&h for an item that is under guarantee.
My odea plus II with capuccinatore failed after 7 months and less than 250 coffees. When started to fail, water pump was like not receiving enough power to work. Then failed completely.
The external design is beautiful (by BMW), the brewing system is impressive and easy to clean. But the electronics completely not up to the level. |

This unit i9s very easy to use, but the manual leaves a lot to be desired. These needs to be a whole section on the various settings fro oily and dry beans and an explanation as to what happens if the settings are incorrect.
The shots of espresso and the froth are, however AWESOME. When this machine is set up, it goes and goes and goes!! |

I am currently looking for a replacement for my Saeco Talea Ring Plus which is no longer offered. I am finding that the Saeco Odea espresso machine is the only automatic that has the ability to raise and lower the drip tray which is a must to froth milk. This frees the breakfast cook to performing other nearby tasks while frothing milk. I will never replace my expresso maker without this feature! |

After having this superautomatic espresso machine, I'm happy with my purchase. Even when this is my first automatic (before I was using a Krups semiautomatic and a stoveTop bialetti), I've been in contact with a Jura impressa X90 that we use at the office. This saeco does the same work as the jura, but a little bit better because of the ceramic grinder.
This espresso machine comes with the cappuccinatore adapter, which you dont need if u use the panarello properly. But if u use it, you will be amazed, because the milk comes out from the frother with a sily texture, long lasting microfoam.
Optidose system is great! from 7 to 10.5 grams of coffee, and from 1 to 8oz of water, you have a lot of combinations available.
There are 2 details I'd love to have in this model: a bypass for already ground coffee, and a bigger water tank.
Something I see as a design flaw, is that there are some vent stripes below the power button. Sometimes you get steam on those stripes and get into the power button. I do not know if there's a guard for avoiding steam damage on the switch...but according to an exploit I found on the web for a prior model, there is none. I hope that for this version, they have changed it. But so far, everything is working fine. |

I have had my Vienna for five years now. At one point recently it finally needed a new set of seals, which were easy to find and install.
I cannot say I have babied it, either. If it ever wears out, I will surely miss it and will have to get another ! |

The Vienna Plus makes excellent espresso and coffee. It also has a frothing and steaming wand which is convenient simply to get hot water for tea or even warming up baby formula. It is a bit loud when grinding and squeals while dispensing, but that's a small matter for the excellent fresh coffee it produces.
Just as my previous Saeco espresso machine (the Italia model) the machine broke down just after the one-year warranty period ran out. Graciously, Saeco allowed me to return the machine (my expense) for repair and it's working fine since. |

Our Vienna Deluxe stopped grinding after about 10 years. Everything else was still going strong, and we used it heavily for that period of time.
We've bought more than a dozen for friends and family..different models, but within that price range and style.
The Deluxe was our first unit....made some clunking and vibrating sounds, but they all do to some extent. No complaints here.
Just received our Vienna Plus. Like several others we bought earlier, it has a tendency to "squeal" a bit when dispensing. Otherwise, it's quieter than the old unit, no "clanking" noises or vibrating when dispensing. The components fit a bit tighter than the old unit, by design, probably.
We use R.O water, never had to descale the old unit, and won't here, either.

Positives: Nice design (narrow for countertops), great cup of coffee or expresso, good foam, good steamer, price (under $400 most everywhere) |

We like the ease of this automatic machine, and actually were surprised that we have been able to dial in a strong shot of espresso with a decent crema on top. The machine is noisy, clacking and clicking as it goes through its program. I wonder if the metal faced version is less noisy, this one is all plastic. It took a while to get the right grind and the right water flow, the manual isn't all that helpful. I found a video on line on how to deep clean the machine, which is good to know about. Had the machine about 3 months, hoping it lasts, with all the moving parts. |

I've only had my Vienna Plus for 4 months, but I've used it every single day and I'm yet to have any problems. It's simple to clean, easy to use, and makes great espresso drinks.
For how much you pay for it, I wish it were made of metal, not plastic. The buttons fall off of mine periodically (they're easy to reattach, so not a huge problem). |

The fresh bean coffee taste, with the foamy milk frothing works better than that last three machine I purchased. I am on my second Vienna Plus. My first one lasted over 8 years before I felt it was time to replace it, although it does still work. This machine is super easy to use and very convenient. I've had more expensive super-automaticas, but I came back to this machine because it makes great espresso/lattes without any hassle.
The only things I would change, would be to make the machine smaller, and to replace some of the plastic with metal.
Still, a great product at a very competitive price! |

I have owned several of these units and give them as gifts. My first one is 7 years old and still cranks out ten to twelve shots a day every day. They are reliable, simple to use, and can make any coffee drink you can dream up quickly and tastily. It's a great value for a versatile but no nonsense machine. |

My first unit was marketed through Starbucks a dozen years ago. Replaced that machine with new model, with essentially same features and design, except for change in "buttons." Operation very similar. Had problem with button durability, but Saeco had me send it to repair facility and it was promptly returned, repaired and ready to go. |

This machine is a replacement and within 2 weeks I had problems with the buttons sticking and water and condensation dripping from the housing. I cannot plug it in because it trips my GFI. Can't believe I have to go through the hassle of sending this heavy appliance back again. I have had five of their machines and have never had any problems until they were wearing out. I started with two under the Starbucks label.

My sister, 2 nephews and I each got them for gifts. I Love the machine, love the lattes it makes but I'm very frustrated that all 4 machines have steam arms which leak water. The steam arm shutoff was unreliable early on and got worse with use. I would highly recommend it were it not for the water leakage - not good on a machine at this price point. |

Das Edelstahlgehäuse ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Ebenso der Wasserboiler und die Druckpumpe. Beide arbeiten in meiner Aroma schon seit gut 5 Jahren ohne jegliche Beanstandung.
Nachteilig sind an diesem Modell alle Plastikteile. Die aus recht billigem Plastik gefertigt sind. Nachteilig ist auch die Ersatzteilversorgung und vor allem die Ersatzteilpreise z.B. der Siebträger ist nach meinen Recherchen einer der Teuersten. Wassertank oder Abtropfschale sind gar nicht in den Ersatzteillisten aufgeführt und sicher auch im Verhältnis zum kompletten Gerätepreis überhöht. Dabei soll das Stahlgehäuse doch sicher Langlebigkeit suggerieren! |

My 15-year old Venezia was replaced with a new unit this Christmas. After 15 years, the pump on the old one was getting a little weak. Like the old one, this new unit makes great espresso, but quicker and with more crema. The Pannarello froths the milk perfectly with lots of tiny bubbles for latte art. Makes better espresso than the automatic machines now at Starbucks cafes. I like that I can have Smatra one day and Kona the next. Once you get the grinding and tamping down, you can make better espresso than any automatic machine. My machine was made in Europe (Romaina), not China! |
