Inspired by Japanese cutlery, the WÜSTHOF Gourmet White 7" Santoku Knife has a thinner blade than a traditional cook's knife with a 10° cutting edge. The thinner blade is better for precision cutting or when you need very thin cuts or slices. The Santoku Knife is ideal for chopping, slicing & dicing vegetables but can be used for meats & fruits as well. The hollow edge blade also features vertical indentations on the blade which creates an air pocket between the blade & food to reduce friction & drag when slicing. The laser-cut stamped blade is constructed of high-carbon, stain-resistant steel & is triple-riveted to the white synthetic handle. Craftsmanship & durability are important factors in choosing the right knife. WÜSTHOF is a family-owned company who has been manufacturing knives & cutlery for over 200 years in Solingen, Germany - also known as the "City of Blades". Knives in the Gourmet Collection are lighter, more economical versions of WÜSTHOF's forged knives.

About the WÜSTHOF Gourmet Collection The WÜSTHOF Gourmet Series is seen as the introductory line for home chefs just starting to build their cutlery collection. With a reasonable price point and riveted handles that are also used in the WÜSTHOF Classic Series, these knives are a great starting point for any cutlery enthusiast. One of the biggest benefits of the Gourmet Series is that it offers a huge range of knives and knife sets. Each knife in this line is stamped as opposed to forged and while this means they won’t retain their edge as long, WÜSTHOF makes these blades with high-quality steel as their other knives, ensuring that, with proper care, these knives can outlast their competitors. The WÜSTHOF Gourmet Series is a great choice for anyone looking for more cutlery options and are willing to care for their knives in the long term.
