 Mixer is wonderful -
I love the fact that the Kitchen Aid Artisan has 4-5 times the power of my hand mixer and really blends and mixes quicker and with more efficiency than any others I have had, however, for some reason my Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer doesn't mix what is in the center of the bowl at the bottom even with the "scraper" blade in use. Small pet peeve amongst many fine features!

Just have to make sure the very bottom gets stirred, too. A quick scrape then stir again takes care of it. Made a wonderful sponge cake yesterday in my Kitchen Aid Artisan. A first for me and no problems.

Im 45 years old and have always loved to cook and bake. I just got one of these for Christmas and I dont know how I ever done without it. The quality and end products are absolutely amazing. Cannot wait to start buying and trying out the attachments. Hubby and I want to get the meat grinder and make our own sausage. Great product!

This is my 2nd Kitchenaid Artisan 5 quart mixer. Got my very 1st one in Cobalt Blue about 2 years ago. Best investment I ever made. Only problem was grinding meat and trying to make pastry in a couple hours, hence the purchase of this black one!

I wanted one of these 5 qt Kitchen Aid Artisan mixers for years, and thought if I didn't get it now, I never would! This thing does everything I expected it too and more. I've never baked anything in my life and am using it all the time! No flops to date! Pretty good for me! Excellent product.

I"m Sorry I waited So Long!! -
I bought this mixer and I am kicking myself that I waited 30 years to buy it! I have used it to make cookies with very thick dough. I used the #3 setting and the mixer hardly even slowed down. Usually when I make that cookie, I have to get my husband to hand stir the dough with a huge spoon. Today, my KitchenAid KSM150 did it for me-NO PROBLEM. The mixer is very well made, heavy duty, and I can't believe I waited 30 years to buy one! I have burned through two Sunbeam stand mixers within 5 years whereas I am sure this KitchenAid mixer will last forever-there is a HUGE difference in the quality.

I bought this Kitchenaid mixer for my wife (I know you're not suppose to buy appliances for birthday gifts but she wanted it). She absolutely loves it and raves about how well it works. Great mixer.
